Working alongside our Dentist, you’ll be an important part of a clinical team who strives for excellence by focusing on quality, service, and delivering outstanding patient satisfaction. The Dental Assistant will provide clinical support to facilitate the relationship between our patients and dentists, increase the efficiency of delivering quality dental care, and maintain communication between dentists, patients, and administrative staff to ensure an unbeatable positive, patient experience.
Responsibilities:
- Greet and prepare patients for treatment
- Recording patients medical and dental histories
- Chairside assisting during a variety of dental and surgical procedures
- Expose radiographs and intra-oral pictures
- Provide postoperative instructions and patient education
- Prepare, breakdown, disinfect and sterilize treatment rooms and instruments
- Maintain strict compliance with infection control, OSHA and HIPPA
- Maintain dental supply inventory
- Perform other job related duties as assigned
Required Qualifications:
- An active dental Xray certification
- Knowledge of dental procedures and terminology
- C.D.A. preferred but not required
- Strong verbal skills
- Possess required certifications, license or registration as required by state
- High attention to detail with exceptional organizational skills
- Experience working in front and back dental office
- Embrace a positive team approach to patient care

Your Role as a Dental Hygienist:
Working under the supervision of our General Dentist , you’ll be an important part of a clinical team who strives for excellence by focusing on quality, service, and delivering outstanding patient satisfaction. The Dental Hygienist will provide clinical support to our patients , increase the efficiency of delivering quality dental care, and maintain communication between periodontists, patients, and administrative staff to ensure an unbeatable positive, patient experience.
Responsibilities:
- Greet and prepare patients for treatment
- Recording patients medical and dental histories
- Take required radiographs
- Perio charting
- Provide postoperative instructions and patient education
- Maintain strict compliance with infection control, OSHA and HIPPA
- Evaluate overall oral health, examining oral cavity for signs of periodontal disease, oral lesions, or possible cancers
- Assess dental condition and needs of patient using approved patient screening procedures, including medical history review, dental charting, and periodontal charting in patients electronic records
- Follow through with oral hygiene procedures in accordance with prescribed treatment plans. Procedures may include prophylaxis, periodontal scaling, root planing, debridement, supra, and subgingival scaling and curettage, fluoride application
- Take impressions of teeth for study models, diagnostic casts or athletic appliances or occlusal guard
- Educate patients on oral hygiene and dental care, including proper tooth brushing, flossing, nutrition, and need for professional care
- Demonstrate knowledge and understanding of established oral hygiene concepts and periodontal therapies, dental procedures, clinic infection control procedures, cleaning and sterilization of instruments, tray set up, and dental materials
- Interact positively with a diverse, sometimes difficult, and demanding patient population. Provide service in a manner that is appropriate for the patient’s age; demonstrate knowledge and skills necessary to meet the patient’s physical, psychosocial, educational, and safety needs
- Recall phone calls
- Schedule patients for next appointments
- Perform other job related duties as assigned
*Required Qualifications:
- Current Registered Dental Hygienist with NJ state license
- Local Anesthesia Permit
- CPR Certification
- Knowledge of periodontal and implant treatment
- An active dental X-ray certification
- Strong verbal skills
