Convenient Access from Chesterfield
No highway stands between Chesterfield and Dental Arts Group in New Egypt; about 12 minutes on County Route 528 covers the whole trip. The route changes its name a few times but never its number, so our office is an easy pick when you search for a dentist in Chesterfield, NJ and want a simple trip. Inside, two general dentists and in-house endodontists care for children, teens and adults.
From the Chesterfield Township Municipal Building at 295 Bordentown-Chesterfield Road, turn left and follow Route 528 southeast as it changes names along the farm fields. Where the route turns right toward Jacobstown, stay with it and continue south through that village, where it swings east as Jacobstown-New Egypt Road. Entering New Egypt, it becomes Jacobstown Road, and the office at 4 Jacobstown Rd stands a few hundred feet before the Main Street junction. Plan on roughly 7.4 miles, and save our Google Maps location for turn-by-turn help.
That route runs right through Jacobstown, and patients from Bordentown visit us as well. Mansfield Township is another neighbor, and the New Jersey Turnpike clips the township's northwest corner, with its nearest exit in Bordentown Township.
Old Villages and New Neighborhoods in Chesterfield
Chesterfield Township blends villages settled in the 1600s with a much newer planned neighborhood. Crosswicks was settled in 1677, mostly by Quaker immigrants from England, and took its name from Crosswicks Creek. Its 50-acre historic district joined the National Register of Historic Places in 1976 and marks the site of the Battle of Crosswicks, fought on June 23, 1778.
The village of Chesterfield began as Recklesstown, named for founder Joseph Reckless, and took its current name in 1888. In the Crosswicks village center, the public library occupies a former firehouse built in 1922, and the Community House dates to 1923. The township itself was formed in 1688 and incorporated in 1798, and its official site, Chesterfield Township, posts local news and services.
Growth here has been carefully planned. Old York Village, a 560-acre New Urbanism community with mixed housing, neighborhood shops and open space, won the American Planning Association's National Outstanding Planning Award in 2004. Meanwhile, more than 7,000 acres of farmland have been permanently preserved, so the township keeps its open fields even as new families settle in.
Growing Families and Chesterfield Smiles
New neighborhoods bring young families, and that shows in the schools. Chesterfield Elementary School, which serves pre-K through sixth grade, moved into a new building in January 2011, and older students attend the Northern Burlington County Regional middle and high schools in the Columbus section of Mansfield. Between classes, sports and activities, parents need dental visits that are quick and predictable.
For younger children, prevention does most of the work: cleanings, sealants on back teeth and fluoride varnish after a cleaning. By the middle-school years, many parents start thinking about straightening crooked or crowded teeth. Invisalign clear aligners suit older teens because they come out for meals and photos, and the free consultation includes digital impressions with the iTero scanner.
Adults may want a brighter smile to match. Professional whitening lifts everyday stains, while porcelain veneers and crowns can reshape chipped or worn front teeth. Every new patient starts with the DAG Comprehensive Exam, so cosmetic plans rest on healthy teeth and gums. That exam includes digital x-rays, intraoral photos, a gum exam and a cavity evaluation under magnification, plus a frank discussion of your goals.
Teens with aligners stay on track with a few simple habits. Aligners come out for meals and anything other than water, and teeth get brushed before the trays go back in, so food is not trapped against the enamel. A small travel case keeps the trays safe at lunch or practice, and wearing them at least 22 hours a day keeps treatment moving.
When a tooth aches deeply or lingers after hot coffee, our in-house endodontists can treat it without a referral elsewhere. That includes pulpotomy and pulpectomy for children's baby teeth as well as adult root canals.
Services for Families Choosing a Dentist in Chesterfield, NJ
Invisalignยฎ
SmartTrack clear aligners straighten teeth for older teens and adults without brackets. Aligners change about every two weeks and are worn at least 22 hours a day, with check-ins typically every six to eight weeks. Treatment time varies by case.
Cavity & Disease Prevention
Cleanings, digital x-rays and sealants keep Chesterfield children ahead of decay. Fluoride varnish suits kids, teens and anyone wearing braces or aligners. Adults receive an oral cancer screening as part of routine care.
Teeth Whitening
Professional whitening brightens teeth dulled by everyday stains. A take-home option lets you whiten on your own schedule. It pairs well with finishing Invisalign treatment.
Cosmetic Dentistry
Porcelain veneers and crowns reshape chipped, worn or uneven teeth. Tooth-colored composite fillings blend with natural enamel. Laser technology often makes gum contouring quick.
Endodontics
Root canal therapy and retreatment treat infected adult teeth. Pulpotomy and pulpectomy save children's baby teeth when decay reaches the nerve. Our in-house endodontists perform this care.
Families often combine these services over time: prevention for the younger children, aligners for a teenager, whitening for a parent and the occasional root canal for a stubborn tooth. Keeping all of it in one office means one set of records, one team that knows your history and one familiar drive down Route 528.

Frequently Asked Questions
How far is Dental Arts Group from Chesterfield, and how do I get there?
Dental Arts Group is roughly 7.4 miles from the Chesterfield Township Municipal Building, about a 12-minute drive. Follow County Route 528 the entire way, south through Jacobstown and then east on Jacobstown-New Egypt Road into New Egypt. If you are looking at a dentist in Chesterfield, NJ, our office is one county road away.
What happens if my teen doesn't wear the aligners enough?
Treatment usually slows down. Aligners only move teeth while they are in the mouth, which is why they need to be worn at least 22 hours a day and switched about every two weeks. Skipped hours can leave teeth behind schedule, so our dentists review progress at check-ins every six to eight weeks and adjust the plan.
Does the free Invisalign consultation include a 3D scan?
Yes. The free Invisalign consultation includes digital impressions taken with the iTero scanner, so there are no trays of impression putty. The 3D scan lets our dentists look at how the teeth fit together and talk through whether clear aligners make sense. You also get a chance to ask about cost and financing before deciding.
Is a crown or a veneer better for a worn front tooth?
It depends on how much healthy tooth remains. A porcelain veneer covers only the front surface, so it suits a tooth that is chipped, worn or discolored but otherwise strong. A crown covers the whole tooth and is the better choice when the tooth is heavily filled, cracked or recently treated with a root canal.
Is the office open every other Friday morning?
Yes, on alternating weeks. The office is open every other Friday from 8:00 AM to 1:00 PM, which suits a quick cleaning before the workday gets busy. On the other weekdays, Thursday also opens at 8:00 AM, Tuesday at 8:30 AM and Monday and Wednesday at 9:00 AM, and our team can tell you which alternating Fridays are open.
